We understand that choosing a school is a very important decision. Before doing so, we strongly recommend a visit to our school and a personal tour with Mrs Riddell or a member of SLT.  You will be warmly welcomed and will be able to see what happens on a day-to-day basis and find out how children learn through our exciting and engaging curriculum.

Rowanfield Junior School has a set Published Admission Number. This is the number we are obliged to admit into each year group. This number is agreed with Gloucestershire County Council and is currently 90 pupils each year (360 pupils in total).

Although the Trustees have responsibility for deciding on admissions, the Local Authority will co-ordinate all admissions in its area and will communicate all admission decisions to parents.

The Gloucestershire School Admissions website provides thorough details about applying for a school place, ranging from general booklets and guidance, the appeals process and school transport when you don't live within walking distance of the school.  It can be accessed by clicking here.

Application for 'In Year'

As an academy, in-year applications for places at our school must be made directly to school by completing the Gloucestershire in-year application form (available by clicking here) and sending it in to us. This application form must be countersigned by your child's current head teacher if attending a Gloucestershire school.
