Rowanfield Infant and Junior School is based in west Cheltenham – a town regularly commended as one of the most affluent places to live in the UK.

However, Rowanfield is proud to serve an area of west Cheltenham significantly impacted by deprivation. As a school, we need to apply additional resources to drive success as we have above average numbers of Disadvantaged and SEND pupils.  In recent years, the number of pupils with English as an Additional Language has also significantly increased. We pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive school catering for all of these additional needs.

Rowanfield works extensively with the local community to win their hearts and minds. We believe every single one of our pupils can – and will – achieve. We strive to help them (and their families) overcome some of the disadvantage they might face via the school and community experiences we offer. Although we are in a deprived area, we are not deprived of ambition or expectation.
