Making a complaint
Most queries, issues and problems can be resolved by the class teachers. We also have a leadership structure that enables escalation of complaints should this be required. Each year group has a Year Group Leader/Phase Leader and the school also has an Assistant Headteacher (AHT) and Deputy Headteacher (DHT) who is available to resolve issues.
Parents are welcome to ask to speak to the Headteacher to discuss any issues, particularly if they feel that an issue needs escalating further. However, we would encourage parents to speak to class teachers and year group leaders first.
The management of the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) has responsibility for the operations of all Academies that are part of our alliance of schools.
We recognise that there might be occasions when parents, pupils or others who have contact with any aspect of our work will want to make a complaint. A key document sets out the overall framework applying to all constituent Academies for dealing with complaints by people other than staff who should follow the Grievance Procedure.
Each academy is required to have its own specific Complaints Policy governing matters on its premises.
This Policy and Guidance takes into consideration the Education Act 2002)
